Sabeel Mission
Upholding the Language of the Holy Quran
The Holy Quran will always be to Muslims the source of values, wisdom and motivation. Allah, The All-Knowing, The All-Wise, chose the Arabic language as the medium. Thus the Arabic language will always remain the key to understanding the Holy Quran, and without it, humans will never be able to benefit from this great resource.
It is rather obvious that the usage of Arabic as a language has been clearly distinguished by our beloved prophet - peace and mercy be upon him – without any cultural or racial connotations. This Quranic language, Arabic, is intended to unite Muslims rather than be used as source of inequality between Arabs and Non-Arabs. All Muslims should be united through the Arabic language and should strive to learn it and maintain it in order to gain access to the original message of the Holy Quran. It is a scholarly fact that the Quran presents us with some unique linguistic marvels that could be easily lost during translation.
SABEEL EDUCATION strives to facilitate this rather difficult task. SABEEL EDUCATION was founded by a group of Canadian-Muslim activists who were interested in offering programs, services, and various activities aimed at preserving the Arabic language in the hearts, minds, and tongues of the young Muslim generation in Canada. These individuals implore Allah (SWT) to make this initiative a basis for the unity and prosperity of the Muslim community.
We extend our hand to all members of the Canadian Muslim community seeking their approval, assistance and participation to achieve our goals that will eventually, Insha’Allah, pay dividends to all of us.
